What Does Home Cooking Mean to You?

So, what is home cooking? Well, that phrase means different things to different people. Home cooking can change depending on the country and the culture where the food originates. The basic definition for home cooking is “food that is frequently cooked in a home environment”. However, there is a deeper level to it. Home cooking is nourishing and enjoyed in a loving environment. When people think of mom’s fried chicken or their grandmother’s apple pie, they not only think that the food is tasty, but they remember family meals and holidays spent together. To many, home cooking is almost the complete opposite of gourmet cooking. But even with that, if your parents were gourmet chefs, gourmet cooking
would be normal and therefore your idea of home cooking.
