Decorative 4th Of July Cake Recipe
Cooking recipeshave always been a big part of the 4th of July and this year will be no exception. No doubt you have some great plans that include food. This 4th of July cake is a great idea for family gatherings, outdoor get-togethers and picnics. The cake looks like the American flag and is very easy and quick to prepare.
Ingredients: 1 boxed white cake mix, 1 box red jello, cool whip, strawberries, blueberries
Bake a regular boxed white cake. When it is cool poke holes in it from the top with a fork. Mix up a batch of red jello and pour it over the cake allowing it to go into the holes poked. Next, top with cool whip icing and use blue berries for stars and sliced strawberries for stripes.
When the cake is cut it will reveal red streaks through the white cake. Not only is it patriotic but it is a cool refreshing summer desert and tastes great. Enjoy the 4th of July.
